Wrexham based dairy expanding.

Family- owned Tomlinson's Dairies, based at Minera, Wrexham, have unveiled expansion plans for their liquid milk processing plant.  The new 70,000 sq ft factory will enable them to increase their processing capacity from 25 million litres to 100 million litres of milk every year.

The business was established in 1983 by brothers Philip and John Tomlinson as a doorstep round in the Wrexham area using milk from the family's own dairy farm next door to the existing plant.  The plant currently processes milk from approximately 30 local farmers and now supplied milk and cream to more than 300 outlets across Wales and North West England.  The new dairy will create between 70 and 80 jobs and is expected to be commissioned next summer.
