Land prices in Shropshire reach nearly £8k/acre!

Last night's auction saw land prices in Shropshire reach nearly £8,000 per acre.  The 42.5 acres of land, just outside Burleydam, Whitchurch,  sold for a staggering £340.000 which was £100,000 more than the guide price.

Auctioneer, Mike Taylor, said he was delighted with the sale.  He reported that there had been considerable interest in the land and that bidding on the night had been fierce to the end.

This is the second Barbers Rural auction in just over a month where property has sold for considerably more than the guide price. 'This is where the auction process really comes into its own', says Mike, 'when two potential buyers are determined to buy and have set themselves a high limit.'
