Farmers pushing for answers on CAP reforms.

Farmers' ability to make key business decisions is severly hampered by the European commission's failure to make clear statements on how the CAP will look after the review in 2013 according to Jim Nicholson, a Northern Irish MEP.  Mr Nicholson too part in a question and answer session with Dacian Coilos, the European Agriculture Commission, but was left frustrated after many of his questions were left unanswered.

Mr Nicholson commented "He's not telling us anything.  There's a lot of people trying to second-guess what is going to happen and they're trying to make business decisions on what way their farms should go."

The Commissioner confirmed a communication on the future CAP would be published on Nov 17th, and  a legislative proposal would be brought forward in July 2011.

However Mr Nicholson remained unsatisfied.  "Frustration is beginning to build up - he really has to move forward.  We are going to have to work double time to get this work carried out on time" he added.
