Rebecca Hemmings
Staffordshire born and bred, Becs studied at Newport Girls’ High School and Harper Adams University before gaining wide experience in the rural and country sports sectors, leading marketing and brand development for businesses including a bespoke shotgun maker, Bettws Hall Sporting Estates and RC Crops. A farmer’s granddaughter, she has always enjoyed country pursuits and life in the countryside.
With a background in events and hospitality – including a season as a chalet girl in St Martin de Belleville – Becs now heads up Barbers Rural’s marketing campaigns and manages the annual events diary. Her passion for the countryside is clear: from annual trips grouse beating on the Scottish hills to being part of the Enclosure team at the Game Fair since 2019, or simply enjoying life outdoors in wellies.
Outside work, Becs channels her energy into training and competing in triathlons. Last year she completed her first Ironman in Wales, placing 4th in her age group and qualifying for the World Championships in Kona. When not racing (or drinking flat whites), she’s usually out walking her equally energetic Springador, Brock before enjoying a glass of red.
Becs' claim to fame: Becs once climbed Cadair Idris in Crocs- and does not recommend it!
