The Mount is situated within the popular village of Adderley, which pre-dates the 11th Century and is referred to in the Doomsday Book as Eldredelei.  The village was granted a market charter in 1309 and developed as a stopping point and market due to its position en-route between the salt-producing town of Nantwich and the industrial centres of the Midlands.

Nowadays the village offers a small range of facilities including a popular primary school, village hall licensed for events, bowling green and Grade I listed Church.  The nearby village of Audlem offers bespoke and boutique shops and everyday facilities including a small supermarket, butcher, chemist, newsagent and bakery along with popular pubs.

Market Drayton, which is four miles to the south, was granted a market charter in 1245 and still hosts weekly street and livestock markets. In addition there is a wide range of amenities including schools, shops, leisure facilities and doctors’ surgery and within a 20-mile radius are Telford, Shrewsbury and Newcastle-under-Lyme, all of which offer a wider range of services. The area is well served by private and state primary and secondary schools.

With excellent road links and nearby rail links, along with a number of international airports within 1.5 hours’ drive, this property would be ideal for those needing to commute further afield for work.

The Mount combines the best of both worlds offering the opportunity for a truly traditional village lifestyle whilst still being within close proximity of urban facilities .

This delightful bungalow was built in the 1960’s and offers spacious living accommodation over one floor. To the rear of the house, access is gained via a conservatory which has glazed walls to two sides and allows a lovely outlook over the garden. A doorway then leads to a central hallway which gives access to the remaining rooms within the property.

The kitchen, which is situated to the rear of the bungalow, is fully fitted with a range of white gloss effect wall and base units with an integrated electric cooker.  This space is complemented by an adjoining utility room thereby allowing further space for white goods. A door from the kitchen leads to the integral double garage, and whilst this is currently utilised as a garage and storage space it could, subject to the necessary planning permissions, be incorporated into the property to allow further living accommodation.

Beyond the kitchen is the dining room which could equally be utilised as a fourth bedroom. The sitting room is found at the front of the property and this substantial room has the benefit of a full height sliding door which not only allows light to flood the room and provides superb views over farmland to the front but also gives access to the front garden.

In addition there are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom. The smallest of the bedrooms has most recently been used as a study and office space.

The property offers exceptionally versatile accommodation, allowing rooms to be used as bedroom or living space depending on the occupants’ requirements.

Whilst The Mount is situated at the end of a private shared drive and is in the heart of the village, the gardens are particularly private being enclosed by mature trees and shrubs. The elevated position of the property also allows far-reaching views to the front and rear over open farmland.  At the rear of the property, in front of the garage, is a large gravelled parking area which leads to a paved seating area and a rockery style sloping side garden which is well planted with a range of specimen trees and shrubs. The front and side garden are laid to lawn and interspersed with a number of well planted borders.
