My first week at Harper Adams University College!

Those of you who regularly read our blog will be aware that I have enrolled on a Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Estate and Land Management (REALM) at Harper Adams University College.  The course is part time (although it can be done full time in a year) and I have elected to do a module a month for the next few months.

The first module was Reasearch and Information Skills - a bit daunting after so many years out of academia but I found the help available in all areas of the University invaluable.  The Bamford Library is something to behold and is a 'closet' academic's dream!  The significant investment in IT is clear and the support and advice fantastic to say the least.

My first assignment is a critical literature review and the subject area I have chosen in succession planning in farming.  PLEASE don't hesitate to contact me on l.taylor@barbers-rural.co.uk if you have any views on this subject or suggestions of appropriate literature.
