Farmland prices remain strong despite economic problems.

With farmers and investors taking advantage of bank lending rates for agricultural property at their lowest rate in decades, and the shortage of supply over demand, the farmland market remains strong.

Stutt & Parkers 'English Farmland Market Review' for the third quarter of 2010 reports average English arable values at £14,880/ha (£6,024/acre).  The average for northern England was £14,130/ha (£5,721/acre), up several hundred pounds from the third quarter of 2009.
