Ex Harper student is one of the country's few female livestock auctioneers.

Farmer's daughter, Jenny Layton, is one of the few female livestock auctioneers in the country.  Life can be tough at our livestock markets, with farmers anxious to get the best deal for their livestock.  Vendors will often try to take advantage of 'weaker' auctioneers in order to get the best price.  However, with 10 years' experience, Jenny is perfectly capable of holding her own.

Jenny is now a partner at McCartney's at the Knighton Market, Powys having joined the firm after leaving Harper Adams University College with a 2:1 in rural enterprise and land management.  She sells cull, store and breeding sheep, as well as store cattle, on a regular basis.  She is also a dab hand at farm dispersal sales.
