You might be forgiven for thinking that in the current political and economic climate, the property market would be slow and stale. Our Estate Agency team, however, is finding quite the opposite.  Whilst it is true that some more unusual properties are staying on the books, relatively modest rural properties that are keenly priced and well-marketed are extremely popular.
Lythe Beck Farm, a 3 bedroom bungalow in need of modernisation set in 6 acres of pasture, was sold subject to contract in the first week of marketing. Interest in these types of property is high and we could sell one of them every week (that would be nice!).
41 Platt Lane is a charming extended 3 bedroom Duke of Sutherland–style semi-detached property with useful outbuildings, a large garden and stunning views over open farmland.  Viewers are queueing up to get through the door!
Farmland sales are also holding fairly well with 29 acres of arable land outside Stafford selling at Public Auction for £364k. We currently have a block of 38 acres of pasture for sale by Auction close to Rugeley which is creating considerable interest in the market.
